Instead of review, this showcase will be what I've been up to lately. First is the special OWN version of Mr. Payne-who'll be my male entrant here. Haven't done a short tight version of him since the first version I made of him in the first SVR game. There's a little bit of CM Punk in this design, a little bit of HHH and a little bit of Sean O'Haire...who was of course the initial inspiration for Payne from the get-go. Next is Solofa Anuha, or just plain Solo for short. Wanted to make a Samoan wrestler again that was like Joe or Manu with a little more muscle. Last (for now) is T.K. Broadway. Made him last year as just T.K., but I lost the save I made him on and had to remake him from scratch. I changed him from looking like a Angle-ish attire to more of an MVP-ish look and decided to keep the warm-ups on him because they actually look pretty sweet in the game. My brother pointed out that the face morphing looks a lot like Ed Reed of the Baltimore Ravens. All I actually did was a little tweaking of one of the default faces though. More show and tell coming soon. ;D

TK does kinda look like Ed Reed... Not bad for a random face. I'm definitely digging the new version Jon Payne, simply because he's had the same uniform look for years now. Sometimes you need to spice things up, and there's noth wrong with reverting a caw back to it's original concept. (Save for Punch, who I'll admit the original version of him looked HORRIBLE!!! LOL!) And the Maori ink on Solo looks top notch. You've obviously picked up tattoo tricks from Oz. All and all some pretty kick as work. About time your males started getting some airplay.

For the next batch of complete (or almost complete) CAWS, I'm just going to let you see them in living colour by way of They...I mean YouTube. ;D
UNION KING- Was a work in progress I started in 2008's version. He was originally going to be a British Kurt Angle type, but I decided to make him reminiscent of the late Davey Boy Smith in his old school British Bulldog days...complete with dreadlocks.
JOE KOOL- A CAW I first made on the N64 games that was converted over to the SVR series. His style of wrestling is as best I could make him similar to Diamond Dallas Page. I try to make him look as flamboyant as possible...if he were a real wrestler, he'd have a persona like The Fonz (look up Happy Days young bucks). (*I noticed in the vid that his arms are a little on the big side. That's been fixed.)
"TERRIBLE" TOMMY TATE- I made him in 2008 as a rip off of those awesome "Terrible" Terry Tate commercials. Instead of street clothes and a jersey now, I instead crossed his look over with that of another guy who saw some success in both football and wrestling in that of Monty Brown. He also kind of reminds me of Ahmed Johnson too.
There's more on the way soon. I've been a busy bee the last few days.

He's always been a fave, Kool that is...even though I obviously can never make him look the way he did in No Mercy. More like an adaption, but cool (pun intended) nonetheless.
Now, for the next wave:
DWIGHT "THE OUTLAW" STAHR- My take on the flashy Shawn Michaels "cowboy" type wrestler. That's obviously who a lot of the CAW's influence stems from style wise, but the look and persona are more close to the "Dwight" character from the last Fast & Furious film. Cocky, flamboyant and gets all the girls. He has an acrobatic style of wrestling- lucha libre/junior/X-Division fare. He was going to be my entry into the first weekly contest here, but I missed the deadline. He came out kind good though. so he'll stick around now, lol.
VIOLENCE KONO- Following a tradition I started with my Yoshi Togo CAW, Violence Kono emulates the look of a real Japanese wrestler, in this case Masahiro Chono. Only made sense that I add him to my list of Puro wrestlers that I've based a CAW off of. As you'd guess, he's got a lot of high impact, hard hitting moves...the kind that are meant to make you bleed or cause brain damage mostly. I neglected to add an STF (one of Chono's signature moves) to his arsenal, but I might for the final build.
DRAGON LEE- Along with Joe Kool, he's one of a few CAWS I made for the N64 games that I ported over the SD series. As you can tell from his look, he's all about the martial arts. His appearance is inspired by the Japanese wrestler Jinsei Shinzaki, who also wrestled in the WWF/E under the name Hakushi. For his primary finisher, the Koya Otoshi, I tried to emulate the real move as best as the game would allow as it is a Crucifix Powerbomb in the end.
And I'M STILL NOT DONE YET!!! XD Stay tuned...

The next batch are going to be something new I decided to do. To most who're familiar with my work, you know that my flagship CAW Riot (aka Vincent Fate) has a wrestling academy/gym called the "Skool of Hardcore" which helped rear the likes of Jon Payne, Xander Xavier Luther and Jayson Jones to name a few. The next set of guys I show off are going to be the SOH's "Class of 2009" graduates, and each year from here on I'll make new CAWS centered around that concept, since a lot of my work from year to year really are remakes of older CAWS. That being said, these are going to be a unique bunch of guys who will look like it was Riot who trained them obviously , so they're all going to be some heavy hitters. Stay tuned... (ADDED) A little show and tell for you as well. This is a PS3 version of Hayley as done by Mr. Pyro. I have to say the build is pretty spot on, since she's more toned and muscular than most of my creations. I'm probably going to hold off until the next game to go to the bigger consoles though. This here shows me that I'm going to have a lot to look forward to, ESPECIALLY if the PS3 version gets 64 layers. *evil grin*

A little bonus action for you... Lotus returns back to the dark side, as per request by Ms. Oichi. It's an edit of the black attire Lotus I made for my CAW save...added: evil eyes and loose pants, subtracted: shoes in exchange for tabi. Gives her a much more traditional "Kunoichi" feel, minus the sharp objects of course...because that would be messy.

And here for your perusal is the Skool Of Hardcore Class of 2009! First is Paul Fortune, who's the top of the class so to speak. He's your ideal heavyweight, good looks, decent power and a mix of technique and some speed to boot. He reminds me a little of HHH to be honest, though that wasn't at all the schematic for him. Character wise, he hails from California and trekked all the way to New York to train at the SOH rather than going the short way to the Firehouse Gym (that's the Fierhart's wrestling academy for those who don't know or remember). Next is Raeg (pronounced Rage) who comes originally from Germany. Before wrestling, he was a bouncer at a nightclub in Hamburg. Obviously, you can see that he was modeled off of Tomko. He's pretty much a big, burly bruiser. Speaking of big, burly bruisers, here's "The Big Dog" Rottwyler. I always wanted to make a CAW that resembled Mr. T, and thanks to the long beards in 09, I did just that. Before rasslin', Big Rott was a bodyguard to the stars. Nothing fancy about him, he hits hard, slams hard and is made to just plain beat people up. Lastly there is Sylver Brandon. He's mixed race-African American/Chinese father and a Japanese mother who was raised studying the martial arts. Rather than going into MMA, he joined the SOH to get into wrestling and his martial arts background caught the attention of one Jon Payne, who took him in as a protege during his stints helping train at the Skool. And that's it for the current crop pf CAWS. More will come eventually I'm sure, lol.

Been a long time since I posted anything new here, so I'll put up one special project I was meaning to show off like months ago, but didn't get the chance to. Oichi was the first person to see this, and I was meaning to do a special match between her and Lotus, but I guess I'll just show off the "Samurai Hime" for your own viewing pleasure. Converted as best as possible from the old 2006 formula and lots of VWE footage. Like?

Yay! Glad you showed this off because it's capital fantastic handcrafted workmanship. If I had a Play Station 3 and a game ... I wouldn't change the smallest of things. I would just ask you for this formula. Don't worry about the match. lol They've fought in the land of imagination for over 3 years ... I think they have it covered. Thanks again. Fully Oichi approved. (That's two).
