This isn't exactly my first try at this, I tried making sigs a few years back, but I gave up. This isn't really finished yet Feedback Plz.

Use the blur tool to softness up the edges of the picture. Also, if you're using the polygonal lasso tool in Photoshop (assuming you're using photoshop), there's nothing wrong with zooming in as close as possible to get to edges of where you want to select. It takes longer, but you'll see a huge difference.

Very nice. Tuts are always good for learning things as well. This second one is very nicely done...and Obama is the man. XD
As I said in another post, you're also best suited making your background for your sig match the background of the image you want to use, so if it's black, match it with black. That'll save you some work.
