How interesting it is that Vayne could read the ancient text of alchemists in the Wind Corridor. It seems there is much more to him than just being the son of a famous alchemist. Perhaps the answer will come as more of his memory returns? Certainly a lot still to be answered about that. I'm surprised that Nikki was the one with the idea to ask the teachers about Melanie's favorite types of food. She is usually the comedic one. That certainly proved true when they were asking Zeppel about Melanie and he knew so much. lol Leave it to her to call him out on it and make him start stumbling over his own words. Odd conversation there at the end between Vayne and Sulpher. I guess even cats can wonder about their age.
Muppy teaching a class? Wasn't expecting that considering he is supposed to be a "foreign exchange" student. lol Vayne seemed to act like he heard nothing during the talk with Muppy after either. Ignoring the talk about death and erasing memories is one way of keeping his nose out of Muppy's business I guess. Some pretty nifty new skills shown in that fight with the Mana. I especially enjoyed the new ones I saw from Flay. Those are really powerful attacks and hit several times.
An odd conversation with Pamela. Sulpher seems to know what she was looking at/talking to. I wonder what it was? Sulpher thought it was probably best that Vayne didn't know. Too bad for him that he gets stuck with Roxis and Flay in the next conversation because their Mana are talking to each other. lol It was kinda dirty of Flay and Roxis to trick Vayne into staying with them, like it was his fault their Mana have been friends for hundreds of years and those two were trapped together until they were done talking. Shame on them! XD Those Kobolds are tough little creatures. They had a ton of health. If they did more offensively, that could have been a heck of a battle. Some more new moves shown off in that fight, which were cool. I especially enjoyed Jess and Flay's. I think they were tougher than the Glass Dragon was, though it did more damage with it's moves. But, it seemed to attack even less. When Flay used that double drill attack after the lightning power up, he took quite a bit off. That is one very powerful move!
Muppy certainly is a diabolical little guy. Planning to take over the school so he can get everyone to fix his ship for him and then picking Vayne because he seems like the easiest to manipulate, which honestly is the truth from what I've seen thus far. lol Good thing Nikki tags along. She is entertaining as always. She could just see that evil look of his when he realized he could blow up 18% of the planet. He certainly made up that story about having a band quickly to get out of the music room. Jess cracks me up when she starts touching his pompon. XD Then Vayne and Nikki join in and.....well, everything goes kaboom! ;D Good times. Too bad for them that the Vice Principal had the joy of Muppy flying through her office window and then catching them and making them clean the cafeteria. lol
LOL! Flay cracks me up. He is so over the top about things. Having Vayne of all people reciting heroic lines and striking poses? That's hilarious! Vayne was so relieved when there was a cry for help so he could stop practicing all of that. But, he did open his mouth and cause himself more anguish by reminding Flay about the masks. Poor fella had no idea what he had gotten himself into. XD I feel sorry for that monster though. I'm sure it learned it's lesson and won't be taking anymore bags! Then Pamela comes along and boosts Flay's ego by not being able to tell who they were behind those masks. lol Poor Vayne at the end contradicting himself and admitting he had the beating heart of justice. I'm looking forward to Flay's next CQ just to see what happens next with the Defenders of Justice.
Wow, how Anna's mind can wonder. XD That girl has quite the imagination when it comes to certain situations. She sure knows how to over think things! I'm surprised she didn't start swinging her sword wildly at Vayne though like she tends to do to everyone. I guess she realizes that he is a little dense and just wanted to get the hell outta there. Better to have help doing so than alone! He certainly had no clue what she was thinking since her ramblings about getting married and such made no sense to him. lol The enemies on the way out certainly were tough with just the two of them fighting. It would be suicide to try and fight them all, especially if you don't have a lot of heal jars and the like. Anna certainly seemed to take a liking to Vayne there at the end though. She saw that he had no ill intentions after all I guess. Perhaps all of those thoughts running through her head had something to do with her complete 180 toward him? It'll be interesting to see how things develop in the next CQ.
It seems that people know about the dangerous medicine Pamela has been giving out, yet they keep taking it due to her great smile? I did enjoy the crack at Jess though. She said it's bad to give people bad medicine, then Vayne tells her she does it all the time. lol Too bad they couldn't stop the next "victim" from drinking her medicine. Funny how even Roxis couldn't resist her and ended up drinking it. It was odd though how the conversation between Pamela and Vayne went when it was just the two talking in the Library. I felt like there was some explanation left out there, but at least she won't be sending anyone else to the infirmary. But, another curve ball there at the end of the vid. Sulpher passed out, so obviously there was something more to that sickness like I suspected. I wonder what it could be?
Flay certainly seemed concerned for Sulpher, even going so far as to call Zeppel a third rate educator when he didn't have an immediate answer for them when asked about Sulpher's condition. It's a good thing Zeppel knew of a way to heal a Mana's powers, which hopefully will work to heal Sulpher. After all, Vayne is unable to fight without him. I liked Jess's new move where she used the mimic treasure chest to throw people in and bite them. I thought that was rather nifty. A very intriguing conversation going on between Isolde and Zeppel that time. She seemed much more willing to talk to him than before. And then the unlikely pair? Perhaps it's been a while and I don't remember from earlier vids, but I wouldn't have guessed it was Isolde pulling the strings behind Tony and Renee. Perhaps the infirmary nurse or Vice Principal, but not her. A very interesting development indeed. The Chimera was frackin HUGE! Bigger than any other monster I remember seeing on the game thus far. It was powerful too, lots of HP and defense, plus a high attack. Definitely a very tough challenge. That flamethrower like move was painful to everyone, then the meteor shower on a single target really hurt. You just kept beating and beating on that thing and it WOULD.....NOT......DIE! It took quite some time to finish it off. But, I did get to see Pamela's finishing burst, which was awesome! It was certainly one of my top 3 faves of all of them so far. The death of the Chimera was funny. All 3 heads being chopped off and bouncing around for a few moments. lol How odd of Tony and Renee to come to the rescue after all they have been through with the group. But, I guess they had their marching orders and were carrying them out like good little soldiers. We did see a bit of Renee's romantic interest in Tony though. I guess she likes strong-headed men? I'm curious as to how Isolde healed Sulpher without the medicine that the group worked so hard to retrieve the ingredients for. I'm thinking there was more to that "IV" than she let on. And what's with the borrowed time comment? I suppose we'll find out later. Time to start Chapter 9!
And so we begin with Flay graduating, along with Tony. I believe Renee was there as well? I'm not sure if it was her or not. It was certainly a surprise, yet unsurprising that Flay ended up flunking because he skipped his tests, if that makes sense. lol I wondered how he would remain with the group once he graduated. I guess I know now! It is kinda weird he was in the graduation ceremony though since he did fail. But, I'm sure it was just to throw the player off momentarily. I know it did me. lol Also, maybe I just hadn't noticed it before, but the music seems to have changed some. Perhaps it's because they are seniors now? It seems like a slower, piano heavy version of the usual Academy theme. I like it. Anna seems uncomfy getting hugged by Nikki, even though they have been in the group together for a couple years now. I guess it could be a little odd if she isn't used to it. I'm sure she is under a lot of pressure since she has to take the family business over as soon as she graduates. Maybe they will be able to get her to have a little fun instead of being so serious all the time. Poor Vayne sure takes a lot of flack over Pamela being sad after he told her to stop making medicine. They all gripe about leaving it up to Vayne to talk to her in the first place yet they always end up talking him into being the one to do all the talking. lol He needs to tell them to shut the hell up once or something just so they'll back off. Wouldn't that leave a shocked look on their faces? XD And now there is a bright, flashing light in the sky? Pamela is concerned about it taking over her mystique, so she drags Vayne to investigate? Odd that he would be the one she goes to considering how sad he made her during the last conversation they had. Then, it ends up being Muppy and Pamela blows it off as if there is no mystery at all. lol Odd woman! At least Vayne pointed out that it was weird having a student flying around the academy. Poor Roxis was the subject of yet another test medicine, this time one of Jess's. The poor man's life is in danger! He better run like Vayne suggested! But...it's too late. Now he has to take the medicine......and it actually worked? What?! Did hell freeze over? lol Just when you think it might have, we find out that her medicine had a little extra kick. Roxis unable to sleep for a week now and getting a bloody nose when he gets too excited? Poor guy. Now he has Jess offering to make him medicine that saps his energy. Knowing her, his heart will stop the moment he takes it. lol He better run for the the hills while he has a chance! At least he was straightforward and told her he will never ever drink her medicine again. XD
