So I have both a 360 and PS3, and I know people are on the PSN, but I am wondering if it is worth setting up one since I tend to buy games for the 360 and just exclusives like MGS4 and Uncharted for PS3. Those tend to be one player games and not sure if they have online features or not, but I probably wouldn't use them. Most Multi player games come out for both consoles which as I said means I go with 360.
I mean with SVR 2010 I know more people with it on PS3, but I value 64 layers and I am not much of a CAW collector having only really ever asked for 3 that I can think of in about 10 years of games with a CAW mode.
Also I know PS3's is free but overall my local friends mostly just have 360's so for things like Modern Warfare 2 I get so I can play online with them.
Maybe there is a kickass feature on the PSN that I am missing out on?

I would say get it. Why? Because there is more than just online play that you can use PSN for. The Playstation Store for one, which you can buy PS1 games on for $6-$10. Games like Final Fantasy VII, Resident Evil 1 & 2, Metal Gear Solid, and many other classics from yesteryear.
There is also stuff like Playstation Home. It may not seem like much of a feature, but it's actually kinda cool once you spend a bit of time with it.
Also, exclusives like Uncharted 1 & 2 do have online multiplayer modes that are actually pretty cool and worth trying out. It also gets it's own exclusives to the system for multiplatform games like we saw with Batman: Arkham Asylum.
It's easy to setup an account and playing online is free. So, while you may enjoy playing Modern Warfare 2 online on 360, you are paying money to do so while people who play it on PS3 are doing the same thing you are on the game for free. So, if you get games like that for PS3, you save a bit of money too by not having to pay to play online.
I think it's well worth it, plus it's free so it's not like it will cost you anything. It wouldn't hurt to set one up in my opinion, even if you never use it.

Yeah I knew about the free aspect, but I am currently having two months of free live. But games my friends buy will be on 360 since I only know one who has a PS3 and around 6 or 7 with 360's so paying a little to play with them when they are on isn't an issue.
Probably wouldn't buy those games again, since I have those still and can play them on my PS2. I suppose maybe a game I never played I might get.
Wasn't sure about the Uncharted having online so I guess I'll check that out. Not really a Batman fan either.
I'll probably give it a shot when I get Uncharted 2 and play the PS3 for the first time in a few months lol. Also whilst online is free I have found the games for the PS3 are a little dearer here not trying to start a console war just saying.
