While I know some people aren't looking forward to this game at all (Pyro ), I actually am. It's the first wrestling game that THQ is making PS3/360 exclusive, so no more holding back great features they could have so they can put the game out on a bajillion(or 6) systems like they do SvR now. I went and reserved my copy of the game for PS3 the other day at GameStop, which is cool because you get an extra attire for 4 different wrestlers when you reserve at GameStop. Anyway, I read up on LoW quite a bit before going to reserve it to see if it would be worth it. I learned a few things about it like it will have 6 people in the ring at a time, you can import your SvR saves and the 09 roster onto the game, it has a CAL(Create-A-Legend) mode, and the "season" mode sounded cool for it. I haven't watched any videos of it as of yet. But, I wanted to get some thoughts on the game from others. So, anybody else looking forward/not looking forward to it? Why?

I'm looking forward to it lol. Might not get it on release date, but I'll at least try to rent it.
The roster looks good, managers actually do stuff, SvR09 CAW mode with more parts, rewrite history mode I've heard of, ect. I haven't gotten this excited for a wrestling game since Know Your Role way back then.
The only sort of downfall(depending on what kind of CAW maker you are) is no female CAWs. And lack of match types. I'm looking forward to and not at the same time of the new gameplay. I'm glad for a change, but I'm not all that sure on what to expect altogether.

1.) Because it's only another attempt to get more money out of us by THQ. Granted, this is probably a one off game and should be more polished than their yearly SDvR titles, BUT... my money's on it not being. Developers do this all of the time, with something as recent as long time fan favorite SOCOM being on that list. I don't see it as a SOCOM: Confrontation-like travesty... but, yeah.
2.) This is a lot more focus they should have been putting into their money maker. Like the 360 DLC, the finally-harnessing-the-power of the PS3's processing systems to optimize all of the frame-rates and get everything onto 360 level, especially in the CAW and custom soundtrack anywhere options... things of that nature. The only hope that I do have is that this game finally opens their eyes to how to address the problems on PS3 if it's exclusively for those two systems. I know I'm damn tired of having CAWs that I can't take online, or hitting my layer limits just because I'm adding trim-link details and not overloading my CAW with a heap of messy designs and things like that.
My only other hope for this is that they figure out to stop making for the fucking PSPs, DS's and Wii's and posssibly hand those duties off to a port-er like Treyarch just did with Call of Duty: W@W for the Wii.
Plus, it's not like I really play these games anyways... I just like the customization and watching them perform. Next year when I'm admin-less, I can see these really not even being played much past November.

I'm definitely looking forward to it.
It probably could be better than what it is, but that's why I hope there will more to come. Perhaps a Legends of WWE game that includes anyone from the 70s/80s/early 90s. I like the idea of THQ putting out a game with Legends on it. It's about damn time. >.> Even though THQ should snatch the idea of Legends of Wrestling from Acclaim and widen the roster a bit more. Only issue with have a Legends of (anything) involving WWE is the lack of some of our favorite guys and gals from back in the day because of bad terms with WWE. Such as Razor Ramon, Macho Man, Demolition, and many others that people have complained about all over the IGN boards I've seen. lol
I've been keeping up to date for the most part on it. The arcade style game play looks like it could be interesting. I'm hoping that LOWM will provide a better alternative than the first TNA iMPACT game. It looks like it might be better. Has a pretty decent roster for who they could get. Loving the managers, even though there should be more. CAL mode looks promising, even if it is just like SvR 09. No female CALs is kind of a bummer, but hopefully if they make a sequel, they can change that. Maybe add Sensational Sherri, Sunny, Sable, Luna Vachon, Mae Young (XD LMAO Imagine fighting an old version), among other big names in WWF/E. That is... If Vince hasn't fucked things up for that.
I'm liking some of the new ideas they got going. Like the importing idea sounds pretty cool. Don't have to remake all the CAWs you want to have. I might only import a few and keep it open for new CALs. I hope they kept custom soundtracks, cause it'd be dumb to take that out. The match types are limited but keep in mind it's only WM1 - WM15. A lot of those years, we didn't have the crazy match types we have now. And it being a Wrestlemania themed game, wouldn't make much sense having something like the Royal Rumble on there. lol LOWM looks promising. I'm hoping that it turns out pretty good. >.> And hopefully some pretty nice Legends get made over at CAWs.ws to make up for some missing people. *coughsavageramondieselcough* ;D

I heard they do have the royal rumble match type which can still make sense since the royal rumble does play a key part in wrestlemania's main event.

Well, depending on how well the game turns out, it could even have an impact on OWN. Maybe a few special appearances/matches could be made up in HD for all to see. Not making any promises just yet! But, it IS a possibility. www.legendsdemo.com/This just came in an email I got from THQ if anyone would like to check it out.

Well, for anyone interested I bring news of the demo. It is being released today on XBox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network. It is already available for XBox Live(722.76 MB) and should be available around 8 PM EST for PSN(I'll be at work during this time, so someone else please post when it is available). Just a little FYI for those wanting to try it out before reserving/buying the game.

The main reason I am looking forward to this game is because of the roster, quite frankly I normally by an SVR game for the CAW mode. With LOW it's because the roster is full of wrestlers that got me interested and made me a fan of wrestling. As opposed to WWE's current roster who there's no connection with them, something about them makes me not really care who wins and normally it's a bad thing when I am like that.
Also the new style of play looks more fun and possibly more challenging than SVR's.

I'm liking the roster too. I've seen a lot of people getting really pissed off about some of the guys on there. The ones catching the most heat are people like Michael Hayes, The Rock, Steve Austin, and Koko B. Ware. I'm probably missing a couple, but those are the ones that I've seen a million threads on IGN about "ZOMG! THEY DON'T BELONG ON THIS GAME!!!!11!!1!!!!!!!111" I'm personally glad to see some new faces on there like Michael Hayes and Koko B. Ware on the current gen. I'd rather add people to the game than exchange them for someone else. lol Heard Unlockables were confirmed though. I think the number sat around 6 or 8 if I remember correctly, and off of a foreign website, someone said that Earthquake was one of the few unlockables. And hopefully maybe some DLC can add a few more to the mix too. lol

I've heard that list before. Don't really believe Demolition would be in, since Vince and them had some legal issues over the ownership of the Demolition characters. It'd be great to see those being the unlockables, but Demolition doesn't seem likely. Unless they reconciled for the game, like The Ultimate Warrior did and we all know that was a huge shocker.

I think they did reconcile for the game, just so they can make a quick buck off of it. Besides, with it being close to WM and all, they might have rushed it so they could be apart of the fanfare, meet & greet that goes with the HOF.
I forget where I saw it, but "Smash" or Barry Darsow I think it was under the paint, met with Vince not to long ago about being inducted to the HOF as a team this year or next. Now, they aren't in for this year, so maybe next year. All I know is, Demolition used to be my favs when they came out with the full executioner masks.

Sounds awesome to me. I've got nothing against Demolition. They were one of my favorite old school teams back in the days.
>.> Now if only Kevin Nash could pursuade Vince to put Diesel in, then we need Razor Ramon, and yes, I'm on the bandwagon for Macho Man cause you know it's a crime to not have him in the game. <.< Then toss in Doink the Clown too cause I'm a sucker for clowns and Doink pwns.

Big Daddy Cool and the Bad Guy would be awesome in it, also Doink too. *wonders if IRS will yell Tax evaders in his entrance *

Awesome list for the game. But a few I think are missing besides the likes of Macho Man, Razor, and Diesel? Lex Luger, Owen Hart, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Ron Simmons, the Steiner Brothers, the Nasty Boys, Harlem Heat, the man faces of Foley and of course the women wrestlers in general. I know some will never be in, some even considered wastes of human beings, but they ARE Legends of WRESTLING and of WRESTLEMANIA! *marks out at the thought of Luger bodyslamming Yokozuna* That's just my opinion though. I'm sure more could be added to the lists of wants/should bes, but those are off the top of my head.

If this turns into a series though I would think it would expand into like Legends of WWE or something like that which is what I hope because it opens the doors to more "legends".

I checked the demo out earlier from Xbox Live and I think the game is pretty cool. Once you get used to the controls. Its going to be one of those wrestling games that even the most casual wrestling fan who maybe into the SvR series can get into.

I've been hearing a lot of complaints about the controls. People saying it's broken or just boring and that they should have went with 09's control scheme lol.

I dunno, to me once I got used to it. I actually liked the control scheme very well. Its different, that's for sure. I think that could be the problem with other gamers is there so used to playing SvR that when you introduce something that's different. They automatically hate it lol. To me, its a breath of fresh air from the Smackdown titles and the god awful TNA Impact lol.
