Undisputed 2009 has some definite potential. It's not be ANY means perfect, but in comparison to the previous UFC games, it's like comparing Street Fighter 4 to Shaq Fu. There are some obvious holes in 2009, such as lopsided commentary when a created fighter fights a real one, and the fact that fighters don't age in career mode, as well as the somewhat limited options for the create a fighter mode, but all and all it's still an above average game, and definitely worth getting if you're a die-hard MMA fan. (Like me.) 2010 I can imagine will see fixes to all of 2009's problems, as well as a whole bunch of new stuff. 2009 got reasonable reviews from most sites (6.5-7.5s respectively) meaning it's not the best game, but it's good enough to add to your library. I predict 2010 will get 8s at the least, maybe even some 9s if THQ puts the effort into it.

Pretty good game for a first effort, but everyone knows that the next game will not improve by much since we all know how THQ works it will be SVR all over again same game same glitches every year. but this game maybe different as it maybe the replacement for SVR on their game list.

I plan on getting 09 when I can and as Kaoz said commentary isn't great on it, but honestly I've never had a sports game that I didn't turn commentary off before even playing a match. Generally it's bad no matter the game. Wasn't expecting a great create mode from a UFC game as there attires are for the most part so similar. As jag said they probably won't improve greatly because generally they recycle a lot of the game content for the next one. I guess the price we pay for yearly updates. For me as long as the fighting is fluid and not stiff like the first UFC game I played I'll be happy.
Edit: Also I am not really a fan of MMA as a spectator but a game interests me.

Strangly i really liked the UFC game they had on the Dreamcast and ps1 dreamcast being much deeper. This one has a few problems that will not really be able to fix like the knocking the hell outta an opp with a ghost punch hahahaha. The next installment is in the same boat as the next SVR already mostly done so it may improve and it may not time will tell if they pull the same game same shit ala SVR every yr.
BTW Kaos nice Sig i have the same set up for my forum hahhahaha

Phantom punches are funny but I get what you are saying and I also expected some things like that, but I wasn't expecting a lot from it. I think the first I played was on PS2 there are two on PS2 I think.

i never played either of the ones on ps2 they didnt improve over the dreamcast one so i read and was told, so i let them be. funny thing about 09 i seem to high kick the hell outta everyone i have played online. they come in looking to shoot and BOOM HEADSHOT lol i dont think i have sprawled once online. very lopsided on line but as a Pride FC fan i enjoy the tech side of the game fun but to some it may have a steep learning curve. which i would love to see in SVR in the create part of it ne ways the matches would be nice to have total control over the AI but dreams like that will never happen XD.
