Wasn't sure if this was the right board to post this in or not but I am looking to build a save each for female and male superstars. Ideally if you have me on msn hit me up on there so we can bounce ideas faster. So far I know for sure I have 20 of each. I'll be honest I am slim on non-white races I think I have 3 Japanese males and 1 Japanese female, I have 2 black males and a WIP black female that has been untouched for about a month. Trouble is I live in a predomininately white area so I can only find the stereo types of each race from movies. I honestly hate stereo types I'd rather have more realistic ones. Also having a broken thumb doesn't help but at the moment I need to do something that takes my mind off from some real life issues at the moment. (Broke thumb because of them that gives you that it is bad without saying what it is) so basically my only real hobby outside of Efedding is CAW making and I am running dry on ideas.
So anyone who thinks they can help me?

I'd have to look up Peurto Ricans names and such because I can't recall ever meeting one and *embarassed face* I can't name a famous one either. Thanks for that.

I thought Eddie and Chavo were Mexican, but I get what you mean now lol. I was thinking the culture of the country lol I had a CAW on 360 called Enrique Costa but I haven't remade him on PS3. I think I made him from Mexico to lol. Also I am not sure if I should make a gangsta because I see others with so many I have Marlon Dixon who is pretty much Lashley inspired and Kendal Banks who is like Million Dollar Man. I think it's more gimmicks and names I struggle with lol

For names... Here's a couple of sites that could help. I used these to come up with such names as Orazio Marcello, Dante Cervantes, Song Danu, etc. www.behindthename.com/www.last-names.net/As for concepts... *shrugs* XD I'd try taking certain jobs and making them into wrestling gimmicks like they used to do with old school wrestling. I've currently got ideas bouncing around for a magician CAW and a fitness junkie CAW like Simon Dean. lol I'd say try out some stuff like that. I'm not too good with just plain old wrestler CAWs. >.> Which is why you'll kind of find me always looking to make a gimmicky wrestler. I.E. Vampire - Dante, Priest - Simon Bell, Gay - X-Rated, Gangsta/Gangster - 187/Crack/Felony, etc. So... That's my advice. Try gimmicky wrestlers.

I thought Eddie and Chavo were Mexican... That's 'cause they are. XD; Hernandez is of both Puerto Rican and Mexican decent, and Homicide is full Puerto Rican.

Thanks for the input peeps, I think Enrique was like Homicide and Hernandez. At least looks wise he had a similar feel.

Since I am of Hispanic descent, I would gladly help in shooting out any ideas if need be. Personally speaking, my own homefed, 1WAW (One World Alliance Wrestling) is full of wrestlers of different backgrounds, ethnicities, and the like. I probably have one CAW representation of all the major countries in the world, so I'd think that with my on-the-fly mentality concerning CAW concepts and your CAW modeling/attire designs (which I've always been a fan of by the way) we can take over the WORLD!!!!!!!... /Brain's famous catchphrase Uh... sorry. I had a moment there. LOL. But you get the point and FAIL to anyone who doesn't get that last reference.

Pinky and the Brain FTW that would be good as I remember seeing a lot of your stuff on CAWs and along with some others you had such detailed backgrounds for them.

Another tried and true method of coming up with ideas is basing appearances (and character traits to some degree) off of real people. Celebrities mostly, or models, musicians, etc. That's been something I've done since way back when I first created my Amber Gianni CAW. All you need is some good reference pics to model off of and I'm sure you could let your imagination fly.

I get your point on that and before I have tried to build likenesses to real people in my CAWs before and had mixed success, an example though I don't have a clear face shot of him but Nick Redfield this year I tried to make like David Beckham on 360 and IMO it didn't really work. However something I thought about and then after getting some ideas with Mr Lantigua gave me something to try and that is use game models since I think they might be more achievable than real people are on SVR might be worth a shot. I will try what you suggested again though see if I can create likenesses to real people.

And like Jay mentioned, after our little talk yesterday, using game models as templates of inspiration are also a great way to go.

Mixing in several personalities into one character works well. Jayson Jones is a mash up of Shelton Benjamin, Jay Lethal and Samuel L. Jackson. Sometimes it's easier to visualize what a character should look like when you concept it's personality 1st. Create it from the inside out. That's the reason why I can pretty much role play with ease any character I've ever created without hitting a dry spell. (Been Rping now 4 years straight without so much as a single break, and I handle about 7 characters at present with no sign of slowing down. Hell, I have to STOP myself from coming up with new characters) Granted I know character development isn't for everyone, but when you can figure out what a character's persona would be like, putting their look together becomes 2nd nature.

I must admit a lot of my CAWs take more than one inspiration if you will but sometimes it happens they take different things from the same person e.g. Cal looked a lot like Edge towards the end of last season with an Orton like attitude. Logan Steel has had an Edge like look at one time too and last year looked a lot like Sandman even if it wasn't intentional and it took me months before I saw it but it's finding the right models especially for me an RL face morphs the normally have to be dead on like in others when they make them like a person I normally wouldn't know who without them saying who it was. Not trying to take anything away from the makers at all but I just don't see it sometimes.
