So here's the scoop. Two weeks ago Kaoz put me on to this guy, who Thr33x had put him onto. I gave this track a listen and I fell in love. Apparently RA's been in the business long before any of these guy out right now, but he's stayed underground...and with lyrics like his that's a good thing. Raw doesn't even begin to cut it, which is why this single fit perfectly as being Punch's new long term entrance theme. This is the video to the song. RA is another reason why being a New York Jew kicks ass.

He's a New York legend. One of the last REAL MCs left. He got into the business in 1991, back when white MCs were still a novelty. But he was so raw back then that no one would touch him. Add to that drug problems, mental health issues and what not, and he he kinda fell out of the picture for a minute. But he stayed underground like Punch said, and built a cult following amongst us "REAL" Hip Hop enthusiasts. In an interview done with Biggie when he was alive, they asked him what he thought about RA and Biggie said...and this is a quote...
"I thought I was the realest."
There isn't an MC alive that can touch this dude, yet he still keeps in gritty. The last album he released (Die Rugged Man, Die) came out in 2004, and he's pretty much stayed to mixtapes every since. RA's a shining example of what New York Hip Hop really is.
