Another one? Why not? This Boss Rush series will revolve around the first Wild ARMs game with a twist. We'll be doing the remake. Why? Because I prefer the updated look and translations of the remake compared to the original. Remakes are always better in my eyes. Even if just for the updated translations. Though, I'm not saying all games should be remade. Some should be left alone. I also like the fact that in this remake you can get extra party members than just the original three. Who are they? Well... You'll just have to watch and see if I pick them up.
Also, just keep in mind that these are my strategies and aren't surefire or foolproof.
Note: I rename characters in the game after friends.

Boss #01: Rotting Beast
Rotting Beast Health Points: 250
So, upon selecting "New Game" we're greeted with a "Prologue" and are put in control of Rudy (renamed to Brent).
Brent is a 'Wanderer' one who travels the world seeking treasure and other assorted things like adventure. For now, he's in the small village of Surf working as a farm hand. After a hard days work he goes to the Village Chief and moments later a villager runs in saying that one of the children has took off to the Berry Cave west of the village!
Why? Because his father is injured and legend has it that Holy Berries used to grow in the cave that could cure any sickness or injury. However, the cave is dangerous nowadays, infested with monsters and bats and... that's about it.
So, Brent rushes off to make sure the child is okay! Well, he is. He's at the back of the cave, where the Holy Berries were once grown. And, it seems there is one left. Not such a legend after all! So, Brent collects the berry for the child and the two proceed to leave the cave. However, an earthquake happens soon after but the two are okay but it seems that something awakened when the berry was taken.
As a first boss, you shouldn't have too much trouble with this guy. However, the bosses level is LV6, so, its sometimes a good idea to be right in the ballpark of the bosses level. Or higher if you prefer.
Rotting Beast has a few attacks in its arsenal and I'll go over them as I usually do in this video series. First up is 'Cut Down' which is pretty much its Normal Attack - it deals minor damage as one would expect. It also has the annoying ability to counter attack in the form of 'Counter Sweep' which also does minor damage, but couple that with its regular attack turn and the damage can add up on you. Lastly, it has 'Rotten Breath' a non-elemental magic attack that does pretty high damage in regards to Brent's HP count. it also has one other ability, Innate Blocker, where it will block attacks. Key word there is attacks, Brent's 'Shot' passes through the Blocker.
Brent's Force Ability is called 'Lock-On' which some of you may remember is Brad's first FA from my Wild ARMs 2 Boss Rush series, well, it functions the same here. Allows for an 100% accurate hit as well as a 1.25 increase in power. This coupled with 'Boosted Shell' can do some nice damage to the Rotting Beast as 'Boosted Shell' does more damage than a regular shot. Just be wary that in using 'Boosted Shell' your Agility (or Reaction in this game) drops for the next turn. Kind of a double-edged sword but sometimes completely worth it.
Below I will list the levels and skills of the characters.
Brent (Rudy)
Level 6
Personal Skills: N/A
Force Ability: Lock-On
Cartridge: Boosted Shell
